What’s the difference between Forgable and The App Forge?
Forgable builds a new app from a description. The App Forge is the catalogue of apps already forged — Ledger, Pipe, Chat and the rest. Forgable bills its credits, plans and done-for-you services in rand; an App Forge app that charges takes its own payments. Browse the catalogue at theappforge.app.
Who owns the app?
You do. Everything Forgable builds for you — the code, the database and its data — belongs to you. Forge apps you subscribe to stay yours to use; cancel and you keep your export.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want and review the result. If you do know code, you can be as specific as you like.
What kind of apps can it build?
Web apps with sign-in and data: booking systems, customer portals, internal tools, dashboards, catalogues, forms and workflows. Every app can be installed on a phone from the browser, and paid plans can publish it to Google Play and the Apple App Store from the Mobile panel.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on any paid plan. Add one DNS record at your registrar and the app is live on your address with HTTPS within minutes. Registering new .co.za names inside Forgable is coming next.
Where is my data hosted?
Apps are served from Cloudflare’s global edge, including Johannesburg and Cape Town. Databases currently run in the EU; a South African data option is on the roadmap.
How do I pay?
In rand, by card or instant EFT through PayFast. Plans renew monthly; top-ups are once-off and never expire.
